We at Vivid Foundation welcome you to work with us as a Volunteer at  Navratri. As this festival is one of the festival in which we worship nature and keep clean and purityat upper level. So this year we understand the importance of pure and clean nature, and make awareness campaign Navratri, also known as Navratras, begins on March 31, 2014. This festival of nine nights in Hinduism is dedicated to Goddess Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. It is also known as Chaitra Navratras or Spring Navratri or Basant Navratri. As this Navratra coincides with Ram Navami, it also referred as Ram Navratri. The dates are from March 31, 2014  to April 8, 2014..
What you have to Do? :-

-Take atleast 100 copy of attached handout of " Navratri"
- make a note with name of person who take a handout
- Arrange photographs of the event with you to publish on website : www.chhathpuja.co, www.vividfoundation.org

This initiation help people to understand to keep environment clean. Navratri in India witnesses myriad forms of devotion across the country while retaining the common underlying theme of good over evil. In Jammu, the Vaishno Devi shrine sees a huge rise in the number of devotees making their way to the pilgrimage during Navratri. In Himachal Pradesh, the Navratri Mela marks the auspicious occasion of Navratri. In West Bengal, men and women celebrate 'Durga Puja' with great devotion and reverence and worship Goddess Durga destroying the demon 'Mahishasura'. 'Ramlila', wherein people enact scenes from Ramayana is performed in big grounds. 'Dussehra' which coincides with the tenth day of Ashwin (Sharad) Navratri sees nation-wide celebration.
